Applicants for the CHBA BC Certified Renovation Professional Certificate Program are required to meet the following requirements:
Certification is valid for one calendar year and must be renewed annually to maintain active status.
Designation holders must ensure renewal requirements are completed before the certification expiry date. Failure to renew certification annually will result in a lapse of the designation and may require the individual to submit a new application to the program.
All certification holders are required to comply with the CHBA BC Code of Conduct at all times. Failure to comply with the Code of Conduct may result in immediate termination of the certification designation. (*If membership is discontinued during the year, the certification will be terminated immediately and will cease to be valid.)
CHBABC reserves the right to enforce this policy at its sole discretion to ensure the integrity and standards of the certification program.
The below courses are all required to successfully complete the CHBA BC Certified Renovation Professional certificate program.
To receive the “Relevant Enactments” qualification requirement for New Residential Builders as set out by the Licensing and Consumer Services Branch of BC Housing, you must complete both BC Building Code Part 1 AND Part 2 (Please note that Part 1 must be taken before Part 2).
