Certification is valid for one calendar year. Designation holders must meet the renewal requirements to maintain active status.
Renewal Requirements:
(1) Earn a minimum of six (6) Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points annually
(2) Maintain active membership with their local association (*If membership is discontinued during the year, the certification will be terminated immediately and will cease to be valid.
(3) Maintain the company’s designation holder (*The company must continue to employ a qualified designation holder. If the designation holder is no longer employed by the company, the company’s certification will no longer be valid.)
(4) Designation holders must comply with the CHBA BC Certificate Programs Code of Conduct
Designation holders must ensure renewal requirements are completed before the certification expiry date. (*Failure to renew certification annually will result in a lapse of the designation and may require the individual to submit a new application to the program.)
If you are eligible for renewal, you will receive a renewal notice by email between November and December.
