Course Description

Answering Your Questions on Energy Capacity!

Do we have enough electrical capacity to meet densification and CleanBC actions for housing? Is the Zero Carbon Step Code banning gas-fired equipment in housing? Will new homes need to upgrade to 400amp service?

Utility experts will provide insights into common questions around how the Zero Carbon Step Code affects energy delivery capacity and connection processes. Further, this workshop will dive into load management strategies, including strategies to navigate the electrical code, design and technology opportunities, as well as the impact of energy efficiency measures.

The session takes a deep dive into the intricacies of the BC Zero Carbon Step Code by showing current state of the industry and how to navigate a cost-effective transition to low carbon housing with local case studies.
