Procurement is essential to delivering a project on budget and on time. Understanding the steps: planning, executing, monitoring and closing out is part of this course work.
A good procurement plan allows you to have strong negotiating power with your trades and suppliers and enables control of changes made to the scope. It also reduces the possibility of overpayment for your materials, equipment and resources.
Having a well-thought out procurement plan for your project is critical to managing your scope, budget and schedule, and this course will review proper procurement planning; the issuance of purchase orders and sub-trade agreements; and an efficient close-out procedure for your purchasing.
