Course Description

This session covers the process to design an effective sales and marketing strategy to better promote your business, earn referrals and sell new projects. Participants will analyze current promotional materials chosen by the instructor to identify the marketing and sales goals and strategies within an advertisement. From there, the group will identify their own current goals and strategies to align with their current market demographics, geographics and psychographics and work on a plan to refresh their sales strategies for 2023.

Meet the Speaker

Debbie Palmer

Following years of award-winning sales and leadership experience as an entrepreneur owning real estate franchises, an import/export business, and a business consulting/sales training organization Debbie fit easily into the role of business consultant and training lead for the Douglas College Self-Employment program where she spent 6 years helping individuals launch and grow their businesses. In 2018 Debbie developed a Marketing and Sales course manual for the Canadian Home Builders Association of B.C. and subsequently delivers the in-class portion of that program. In 2019 she began her role as Lead Trainer for the Douglas College Sales Institute. Instructor credentials include a Provincial Instructor Diploma Program, instruction at BCIT, instruction at Capilano University, Small Business B.C., Thompson Rivers University, Success, EMBERS, and PCRS. Since 2009 she offers both on-site and online corporate training through her company Debbie Palmer Presents. Debbie has a passion for sales which is very evident in her facilitation. Her tagline is “If you’re in Business … you’re in Sales”. Debbie continues to offer her expertise as a mentor/trainer/presenter in a volunteer capacity for several B.C. non-profit organizations such as Futurpreneur, Women’s Enterprise Centre, the Mood Disorders Association of B.C., and BIPT (Burnaby Intercultural Planning Table).
